CHAP. 1185.— An Act Granting to the Columbia Valley Railroad Company a right of way through Fort Columbia Military Reservation, at Scarborough Head, in the State of Washington, and through the United States quarantine station in section seventeen, township nine north, range nine west of Willamette meridian, in said State of Washington, and for other purposes. February 25, 1907. [[S. 6691](/us/bill/59/s/6691).] [[Public, No. 108](/us/pl/59/108).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,Fort Columbia Military Reservation, Wash.Columbia Valley Railroad Company granted right of way through.
That the Secretary of War may authorize the Columbia Valley Railroad Company to build a railroad and telegraph line through the Military Reservation at Scarborough Head, known as Fort Columbia, Washington, and to that end may set aside for occupancy by said Columbia Valley Railroad Company such ground, and no more, as is actually required for the track, *Provisos*.Police, etc., control,embankment, trestle, and necessary buildings: *Provided*, That the ground so occupied shall remain the property of the United States under such police and other military control as the military authorities may Location, etc., to be approved by Secretary of War.deem it necessary to exercise: *Provided further*, That the location and grade of said railroad, the design and location of the station house and other buildings, and all other details of construction within the limits of the reservation, also all matters pertaining to the operation and maintenance of said railroad, shall be under such regulations as the Secretary of War may from time to time establish: *Provided further*, Restriction.That nothing in this Act shall be construed as authorizing the use of any portion of the reservation as a borrow pit for tills and embankments:Rent. *Provided further*, That the said railroad company shall pay such reasonable annual rental for such right of way as may be fixed by the Secretary of War.
Sec. 2. Right of way through quarantine station grounds. That the Secretary of the Treasury may authorize the said Columbia Valley Railroad Company to build a railroad and telegraph line through the United States quarantine station grounds in section seventeen, township nine north, range nine west of the Willamette meridian, in the State of Washington, and to that end may set aside for occupancy by said Columbia Valley Railroad Company such ground, and no more, as is actually required for the track, embankment, *Provisos*.Location, etc., to be approved by Secretary of Treasury.trestle, and necessary buildings: *Provided,* That the location and grade of said railroad and all other details of construction within the limits of said quarantine station, and also all matters pertaining to the operation and maintenance of said railroad, shall be under such regulations as the Secretary of the Treasury may from time to time establish: *And provided further*, That nothing in this Act shall be construed as authorizing the use of any portion of the reserve as a borrow pit for Rent.fills and embankments: *And provided further*, Restriction.That the said railroad company shall pay such reasonable annual rental for such right of way as may be fixed by the Secretary of the Treasury.
