CHAP. 799.— An Act To authorize the Secretary of the Treasury to appoint a deputy collector of customs at Manteo, North Carolina. February 25, 1905. [[S. 4609](/us/bill/58/s/4609).] [[Public, No. 105](/us/pl/58/105).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, Customs.Deputy collector authorized at Manteo, N. C.[R. S., sec. 2556, p. 505](/us/rs/s2556/p505), amended. That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to appoint a deputy collator of customs at Manteo, in the district of Albemarle, North Carolina, who shall be to grant enrollments and 815licenses to vessels and to perform such other duties relating to customs and commerce and navigation as the Secretary may direct, and be paid such compensation as be may deem proper.
Sec. 2. That the compensation and emoluments of the collectorPay, etc., of collector. of customs for the district of Albemarle, in the State of North Carolina, shall be continued to be paid on the same basis as heretofore. Sec. 3. That this Act shall take effect July first, nineteen hundredEffect. and five. Approved, February 25, 1905.
