CHAP. 703.— AN ACT Granting an increase of pension to Frances C. McFarland March 16, 1904.[[H. R. 10991](/us/bill/58/hr/10991).][[Private, No. 649](/us/pvtl/58/649).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House ofRepresentatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on theFrances C. McFarland. Pension increased. pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Frances C.
McFarland, widow of William McFarIand, late of Company B, Eighteenth Regiment Indiana Volunteer Infantry, and pay her a pension at the rate of twenty-four dollars per month in lieu of that she is now receiving: *Provided,* That in the*Provisos.* Increase to cease on death of child. event of the death of James McFarland, helpless and dependent child of said William McFarland, the additional pension herein granted shall cease and determine: *And provided further,* That in the event of theChild to receive pension on death of mother. death of Frances C.
McFarland the name of said James McFarland shall be placed on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, at the rate of twelve dollars per month irom and after the date of death of said Frances C. McFarland. Approved, March 16, 1904.
