CHAP. 228.— An Act Granting an increase of pension to Mary Joanna Adams. February 26, 1904.[[S. 2416](/us/bill/58/s/2416).][[Private, No. 196](/us/pvtl/58/196).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, Mary Joanna Adams.Pension increased. That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Mary Joanna Adams, widow of John D.
Adams, 1339late of Company D, Fiftieth Regiment Illinois Volunteer Infantry, and pay her a pension at the rate of twenty-four dollars per month in lieu of that she is now receiving: *Provided*, That in the event of the *Proviso.*Increase to cease on death of child.death of Mattie Kate Adams, helpless and dependent child of said John D. Adams, the additional pension herein granted shall cease and determine. Approved, February 26, 1904.
