CHAP. 2002.— An Act For the relief of the estate of Artemus E. Gibson. April 28, 1904.[[H. R. 7718](/us/bill/58/hr/7718).][[Private, No. 1738](/us/pvtl/58/1738).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, That the Secretary of the Artemus E. Gibson.Duplicate bonds issued to estate of.Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to issue to the estate of Artemus E. Gibson, deceased, duplicates in lieu of United States four per centum registered bonds of the funded loan of nineteen hundred and seven, numbered one hundred and ten thousand four hundred and seventy-nine and one hundred and ten thousand four hundred and eighty for one hundred dollars each, and ninety thousand three hundred and ninety-eight for one thousand dollars, inscribed in name of said Artemus E.
Gibson and alleged to have been lost or destroyed: *Provided*, That the legal representative of the estate of *Proviso.*said Artemus E. Gibson shall first file in the Treasury a bond in a sum Indemnity bond.equal to the amount of the principal of said bonds and the interest 1684that would accrue thereon until the same shall become due or payable, with good and sufficient sureties, to be approved by the Secretary of the Treasury, conditioned to indemnify and save harmless the United States from any claim because of said lost or destroyed bonds.
