CHAP. 1803.— An Act For the relief of Gilbert Shaw. March 3, 1905.[[H. R. 15021](/us/bill/58/hr/15021).][[Private, No. 1565](/us/pvtl/58/1565).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, Gilbert Shaw.Issue of land patent to. That Gilbert Shaw be, and he is hereby, authorized to select a tract of not more than one hundred and sixty acres of the public lands of the United States subject to home-stead entry, for which a patent shall issue forthwith, without any requirement as to occupancy or improvement and without the payment of any fees or charges (homestead fees and charges having heretofore been paid by him), this grant being made by way of compensation on account of the loss of the northwest quarter of section thirty-one, in township eight north, range seven east, in Lancaster County, Nebraska, in good faith taken, occupied, and improved by him, but found to be embraced within a railroad-land grant previously made.
