CHAP. 1499.— An Act To authorize Gila County, Arizona, to issue forty thousand dollars in bonds to build a court-house, and so forth. March 3, 1905. [[H. R. 18040](/us/bill/58/hr/18040).] [[Public, No. 232](/us/pl/58/232).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, Gila County, Ariz.May issue bonds for court-house, etc. That the board of supervisors of the county of Gila, Territory of Arizona, is hereby authorized to issue bonds of said county in the sum of forty thousand dollars for the construction of a court-house and jail for said county and vaults for the preservation of its records.
Sec. 2. Denominations, interest, etc. That said bonds may be in such denominations as the said board may prescribe, and shall bear no more than five per cent urn interest per annum, and shall not be sold for less than their pay value. Sec. 3. Term. That said bonds shall be made payable in thirty years, with 1269an option on the part of the county to pay any or all of them after ten years from the date of their issue. Sec. 4. That for the purpose of paying the interest on said bonds asTaxes for sinking funds. it becomes due and provide for a sinking fund to pay said bonds the said board of supervisors shall levy and cause to be collected, as other County taxes are levied and collected, a sufficient tax on the assessable property said county as will meet the interest as it falls due and provide a reasonable sinking fund to pay said bonds when due.
Sec. 5. That said bonds shall he printed with interest couponsCoupons. attached thereto; each coupon shall represent one years interest on the bond, and when the interest represented in a coupon is paid the coupon shall be detached from the bond and placed by the treasurer with his other vouchers before the board of supervisors.
