CHAP. 1461.— An Act To amend an Act entitled “An Act to establish a code of law for the District of Columbia.” March 3, 1905. [[H. R. 18589](/us/bill/58/hr/18589).] [[Public, No. 194](/us/pl/58/194).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, That the following amendmentDistrict of Columbia Code. is hereby made to “An Act to establish a code of law for the District of Columbia,” approved March third, nineteen hundred andVol. 31, p. 1324, amended. one:
" “Sec. 825a. Placing explosives near buildings, and so forth.—Placing explosives near buildings, etc.Punishment. Whoever places, or causes to be placed, in, upon, under, against, or near to any building, car, vessel, monument, statue, or structure, gun-powder or any explosive substance of any kind whatsoever, with intent to destroy, throw down, or injure the whole or any part thereof, although no damage is done, shall be punished by a line not exceeding one thousand dollars or by imprisonment not exceeding ten years.
