CHAP. 1434.— An Act For the relief of street-car motormen. March 3, 1905. [[H. R. 13094](/us/bill/58/hr/13094).] [[Public, No. 167](/us/pl/58/167).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, That every person or corporationDistrict of Columbia.Glass vestibules requited for Street cars in. operating street cars in the District of Columbia shall provide each of the same with a glass vestibule, surrounding, as nearly as possible, the place where the motorman operating said ear stands, so that said motorman shall be protected from inclement weather.
Sec. 2. That every person or corporation who or which shall violatePenalty for violation. the provisions of this Act shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be fined not less than one hundred nor more than five hundred dollars for each and every day any street ear is operated not provided with the vestibule required by this Act: *Provided, however, **Proviso.*Exception.That the requirements of this Act shall not apply to cars operated from the first day of April to the first day of November of each and every year.
Sec. 3. That this Act shall take effect from and after the thirtiethEffect. day of November, anno Domini nineteen hundred and five. Approved, March 3, 1905.
