CHAP. 1304.— An Act To amend section thirteen of chapter three hundred and ninety-four of the supplement to the Revised Statutes of the United States. March 2, 1905. [[S. 7239](/us/bill/58/s/7239).] [[Public, No. 124](/us/pl/58/124).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, That section thirteen of chapterPostal service.Second-class mail matter.Vol. 25, p. 187, amended.Penalty for submitting false evidence concerning any publication. three hundred and ninety-four of the supplement to the Revised Statutes of the United States be amended so as to read as follows:
That any person who shall submit or cause to be submitted to any postmaster or to the Post-Office Department or any officer of the postal service any false evidence, relative to any publication for the purpose of securing the admission thereof at the second-class rate for transportation in the mails, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and for every such offense, upon conviction thereof, shall be punished by a fine of not less than one hundred nor more than five hundred dollars.
