CHAP. 760.— An Act To refund certain taxes paid by the AnheuserBusch Brewing Association, of Saint Louis, Missouri. February 25, 1903.[[Private, No. 643](/us/pvtl/57/643).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, An houser-Busch Brewing Association, Saint buds. Mo.Refund of internal revenue taxes. That the Commissioner of Internal Revenue be, and is hereby, authorized and directed to reopen and consider all claims of the AnheuserBusch Brewing Association for the refunding of seven and one-half per centum discount upon the taxes paid upon fermented liquors in storage or in transit.
June fourteenth, eighteen hundred and ninety-eight, any statute of limitation to the contrary notwithstanding, and to allow such portion of said claim as shall be shown to him to have been illegally collected in excess of Payment.the amount required by law; and the Secretary of the Treasury is hereby authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, such amounts, not to exceed in the aggregate nine hundred and eighty-six dollars and thirty-two cents, as snail be certified by the Commissioner of Internal Revenue to have been illegally collected from the AnheuserBusch Brewing Association as tax on fermented liquors in storage or in transit June fourteenth, eighteen hundred and ninety-eight.
