CHAP. 542.— An Act For the relief of Clara H. Fulford. February 10, 1903.[[Private, No. 462a](/us/pvtl/57/462a).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, Clara H. Fulford.Redemption of burned bonds authorized. That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and is hereby, instructed to redeem, in favor of Mrs. Clara H. Fulford, widow of D. Fulford, two bonds of the United States, of the denominations of fifty dollars and fifty dollars, and known as five-twenties, said bonds having been destroyed by fire the ninth day of July, eighteen hundred and seventy-two, and to pay to Mrs.
Clara 11. Fulford, widow of said D. Fulford, the amount of said bonds, together with accrued interest from July first, eighteen hundred and seventy-two, to the date of the maturity of said bonds. Sec. 2. Indemnity bond. That the said Mrs. Clara H. Fulford, widow of D. Fulford, shall also execute and file with the Secretary of the Treasury a bond with sufficient sureties, to be approved by the Secretary of the Treasury, in the penalty of three hundred dollars, conditioned to save harmless the United States from loss or liability on account of said bonds or the interest accrued thereon.
