CHAP. 503.— An Act For the relief of William D. Rutan. February 6, 1903.[[Private, No. 441](/us/pvtl/57/441).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, That the proper accounting William D. Rutan.Credit In account.officers of the Treasury Department be, and they are hereby, authorized and directed to credit the account of William D. Rutan, late collector of internal revenue at New York, New Jersey, with the sum of 1604one thousand three hundred and fifty dollars, the same being the net value of certain snuff stamps forwarded by said Rutan to the Commissioner of Internal Revenue for exchange under the provisions of an Vol. 30, p. 151.Act of Congress approved June thirteenth, eighteen hundred and ninety-eight, which stamps were lost in transit, or otherwise, and never accounted for.
