[[Private, No. 221](/us/pvtl/57/221).] *Be if enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, That the Secretary of WarStephen A. Toops.Charge of desertion removed. be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to remove the charge of desertion now standing on the records against Stephen A. Toons, late private of Company D.
Second Regiment of Missouri State Militia Cavalry Volunteers, who absented himself without proper authority July thirtieth, eighteen hundred and sixty-two, and so remained until September nineteenth, eighteen hundred and sixty-two. when he enlisted in Company C, in the Seventh Regiment Missouri Volunteer Cavalry, served faithfully, and was honorably discharged June thirteenth, eighteen hundred and sixty-live. Approved, March 27, 1902.
