CHAP. 135.— An Act For the relief of the trustees of Carson and Newman College, at Jefferson City, Tennessee. February 28, 1902.[[Private, No. 109](/us/pvtl/57/109).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, That the Secretary of theCarson and New-man College.Payment to trustees. Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay to the trustees of Carson and Newman College, formerly the Mossycreek Baptist College, at Jefferson City, Tennessee, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, the sum of six thousand dollars, in full compensation for the use, occupation, and consumption of the property of said college and trustees by the military forces of the Tinted States during the late war of the rebellion.
