CHAP. 1345.— An Act Granting an increase of pension to Clayton P. Van Houten. June 30, 1902.[[Private, No. 1129](/us/pvtl/57/1129).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, That the Secretary of the Clayton P. Van Houten.Pension increased.Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Clayton 1’.
Van Houten, late captain Company D, First Regiment South Dakota Volunteer Infantry, war with Spain, and pay him a pension at the rate of fifty dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving: *Provided*, That at the expiration of two years after *Proviso.*Rerating.the passage of this Act, if the said Clayton P. Van Houten, be then living, a medical examination shall be ordered and the rate of pension allowed by this Act shall be subject to change to accord with the. degree of disability then existing.
