CHAP. 1309.— An Act For the allowance of certain claims for property taken for military purposes within the United States during the war with Spain, reported by the Secretary of War in accordance with the requirements of an item contained in the sundry civil appropriation Act, approved June sixth, nineteen hundred, authorizing and directing the Secretary of War to investigate just claims against the United States for private property taken and used in the military service within the limits of the United States, and so forth.
June 28, 1902.[[Public, No. 190](/us/pl/57/190).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, Spanish war claims appropriations.Vol. 31, p. 632. That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to claimants in this Act named the several sums appropriated herein, the same being in full for and the receipt of the same to be taken and accepted in each case as a full and final release and discharge of their respective claims, namely:
