CHAP. 1308.— An Act To provide a commission to secure plans and designs for a monument or memorial to the memory of Abraham Lincoln, late President of the United States. June 28, 1902.[[Public, No. 189](/us/pl/57/189).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, Abraham Lincoln.Commission created to secure plans, etc., for a monument to. That the chairman of the Committee on the Library of the Senate, the chairman of the Committee on the Library of the House of Representatives, the Secretary of State, the Secretary of War, Senator George G.
Vest, and Representative James D. Richardson, be, and they are hereby, created a commission to secure plans and designs for a monument or memorial to the memory of Abraham Lincoln, late President of the United States. Sec. 2. Appropriation. That the sum of twenty-five thousand dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is hereby appropriated, out of any money in the Treasury not otherwise appropriated, to carry out the provisions of this Act. Sec. 3. Report. That the said commission shall report the result of their action to Congress as soon as practicable after a decision has been reached.
