CHAP. 1145.— An Act Granting an increase of pension to Amanda Burke. March 3, 1903.[[Private, No. 974](/us/pvtl/57/910).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Gm gross assembled*, Amanda Burke.Pension increased. That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Amanda Burke, widow of Milo M.
Burke, late of the United States steamship Henry James, United States Navy, and pay her a pension at the rate of twenty dollars per month in lieu of *Proviso.*Increase to cease on death of child.that she is now receiving: *Provided, however,* That in the event of the death of the helpless child Edith Burke, on whose account the pension of Amanda Burke is increased, the pension of said Amanda Burke shall continue onlv at the rate of eight dollars per month from and after the date of death of said helpless child.
