CHAP. 1124.— An Act For the relief of the persons who sustained damage by the explosion of an ammunition chest of Battery F, Second United States Artillery, July sixteenth, eighteen hundred and ninety-four. June 18, 1902.[[Private, No. 960](/us/pvtl/57/960).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, Explosion of artillery ammunition chest, Chicago, Ill.Relief of persons damaged by. That the sum of fifteen thou-sand eight hundred and forty-five dollars and twenty-three cents, being the sum found just by a board of officers convened at Chicago, July seventeenth, eighteen hundred and ninety-four, under Special Orders, Numbered Seventy-two, issued by command of Major-General Miles, of the Department of the Missouri, which sum is recommended by him, with the concurrence of the then Major-General Commanding the Anny, be, and the same is hereby, appropriated to pay the awards of said board, according to the following schedule, as set forth in their report made on November third, eighteen hundred and ninety-four, and published in Senate Executive Document Numbered Twenty-one, third session Fifty-third Congress, to wit:
P. J. Ryan, one thousand three hundred and seven dollars; Charles R. Cave, one thousand eight hundred and forty dollars and sixty-one cents; Edward C. Huling, seven hundred and forty-two dollars and twenty-six cents; Jacob R. Custer, seven hundred and seventeen dollars and eighty-three cents; Herman Lehman, eight hundred and twenty-nine dollars and seventy-five cents; Herman Grossman, seven hundred and seventy dollars; Philip W. Raber, one thousand eight hundred and forty-eight dollars and ninety- nine cents;
F. A. Devlin, lessee, one hundred and sixty dollars; estate of Samuel B. Foster, deceased, one thousand six hundred and ninety-1453nine dollars and fifty cents; Amelia H. Dodge, one thousand four hundred and ninety-five dollars and eighty-four cents; Frederick A. Howe, eight hundred and ninety-three dollars and six cents; Helen Palmer, nine hundred and forty-six dollars and seventy-five cents; James Wright, one thousand two hundred and thirteen dollars and sixty-eight cents; W.
H. Godair, two hundred and fifty-eight dollars and four cents; J. W. Morrison, forty-seven dollars and seventy-seven cents; Mrs. J. E. Ellen, twenty-five dollars; W. W. Morrill, fifty dollars; Silas H. Finch, fifty-four dollars and thirty-nine cents; David Mayer, lessee, forty-five dollars; Newton Morganroth, one hundred and twenty-five dollars; estate of H. N. Stephens, deceased, lessee, twelve dollars and fifty-five cents; John W. Byers, one hundred and five dollars and thirty-three cents;
Edward D. Murray, one hundred dollars: Arthur W. Allyn, ninety-nine dollars and fifteen cents; Emilie J. Smith, trustee, nineteen dollars; T. A. Keene, fifty dollars; Hannah Sullivan, forty dollars; Armory Warehouse Company, eighteen dollars; W. F. Horn, agent, twenty-five dollars and ninetvone cents; Alice York, three hundred and five dollars; total, fifteen thousand eight hundred and forty-five dollars and twenty-three cents.
