CHAP. 1117.— An Act Granting an increase of pension to Matilda Smith. March 3, 1903.[[Private, No. 946](/us/pvtl/57/910).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, Matilda Smith.Pension increased. That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Matilda Smith, widow of Gilbert A.
Smith, late of Company K, One hundred and sixty-sixth Regiment Ohio Volunteer Infantry, and pay her a pension at the rate of twenty dollars per *Proviso.*Increase to eease on death of child.month in lieu of that she is now receiving: *Provided, however*, That in the event of the death of the helpless child, Eva L. Smith, on whose account the pension of Matilda Smith is increased, the pension of said Matilda Smith shall continue only at the rate of eight dollars per month from and after the death of said helpless child.
