CHAP. 1.— An Act To amend section twenty of an Act entitled “An Act to simplify the laws in relation to the collection of the revenues,” approved June tenth, eighteen hundred and ninety. December 15, 1902.[[Public, No. 1](/us/pl/57/1).] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, That section twenty of anCustoms revenue.Vol, 26, p, 140, amended, [R.S., sec. 2970, p.578](/us/rs/s2970/p578). Act entitled “An Act to simplify the laws in relation to the collection of the revenues” approved June tenth, eighteen hundred and ninety, be, and the same is hereby, amended so as to read as follows:
" “Sec. 20. That any merchandise deposited in any public or privateWithdrawals from bonded warehouses for consumption. bonded warehouse may be withdrawn for consumption within three years from the date of original importation on payment of the duties and charges to which it may be subject by law at the *Provisos.*To pay duty at rate then imposed.Perishable, etc., articles.time of such withdrawal: *Provided*, That the same rate of duty shall be collected thereon as may be imposed by law upon like articles of merchandise imported at the time of the withdrawal: *And provided further*, That nothing herein shall affect or impair existing provisions of law in regard to the disposal of perishable or explosive articles.
