CHAP. 786.— An Act Granting an increase of pension to Merit C. Welsh. March 1, 1901. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, Merit C. Welsh.Pension increased. That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the 1785pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Merit C. Welsh, late of Company H. Third Regiment Indiana Volunteer Infantry, war with Mexico: captain Company D.
Seventh Regiment Indiana Volunteer Infantry: and colonel One hundred and forty-sixth Regiment Indiana Volunteer Infantry, and pay him a pension at the rate of thirty dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving. Approved, March 1, 1901.
