CHAP. 542.— An Act To provide an American register for the steamer Esther, of New Orleans. May 23, 1900. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, Steamer Esther granted American register. That the Commissioner of Navigation is hereby authorized and directed to cause the foreign-built steamer Phoenix, of Norway, purchased and wholly owned by an American citizen, and repaired by him, to be registered as a vessel of the United States. Approved, May 23, 1900.
