CHAP. 45.— An Act To grant an American register to the steamer Windward. March 16, 1900. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, Steamer “Windward” granted American register. That the Secretary of the Treasury is hereby authorized and directed to cause the foreign-built steamer Windward, owned by Civil Engineer Robert E. Peary, United States Navy, to be registered as a vessel of the United States, provided that she shall not engage in the coastwise trade of this Republic. Approved, March 16, 1900.
