CHAP. 405.— An Act Granting an increase of pension to James Chapman. May 12, 1900. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, James Chapman. Pension increased. That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of James Chapman, late surgeon of the Eighth Regi-1537ment New York Volunteer Cavalry, assistant surgeon of the Ninetieth Regiment New York Volunteer Infantry, and surgeon of the One hundred and twenty-third Regiment New York Volunteer Infantry, and pay him a pension at the rate of twenty-four dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving.
