March 23, 1898. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, That Dorence Atwater be, andDorence Atwater.Granted honorable discharge. he is hereby, relieved and absolved from the effect of the sentence adjudged against, him by a court-martial on the eleventh day of September, eighteen hundred and sixty-five, and that the Secretary of War be, and lie is hereby, authorized and directed to annul the order dishonorably discharging said Atwater as a private, general service, United States Army, and to issue to him an honorable discharge from said service, to date from the twenty-second day of September, eighteen hundred and sixty-five: *Provided*, That no pay or allowances shall*Proviso*.No pay, etc. become due or payable by reason of the passage of this Act.
