CHAP. 398.— An Act To provide for the construction of a public building at the city of Janesville, Wisconsin. March 2, 1899. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, * Janesville, Wis.Public building authorized. That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and is hereby, authorized and directed to purchase, acquire by condemnation, or otherwise provide a site for a suitable building for the accommodation of the post-office and other Government offices at the city of Janesville, Wisconsin, and cause such building to be erected Limit of cost.thereon.
The plans, specifications, and full estimates of said building shall be previously made and approved according to law, and shall not exceed, for the site and building, the sum of fifty thousand dollars: *Proviso.*Fire space.*Provided,* That the site shall leave the building unexposed to danger from fire in neighboring buildings by an open space of not less than thirty feet, including streets and alleys. Approved, March 2, 1899.
