Chap. XXI.— An Act *altering the place of holding the circuit and district court in the district of Ohio.*(*b*)(*b*) Act of April 22, 1824, ch. 36, Act of May 20, 1826, ch. 132, Act of May 5, 1830, ch. 89, sec. 3. By the act of March 10, 1838, ch. 33, the circuit and district courts are to be holden on the first Monday of July, and the third Monday in December. By the act of June 1, 1842, ch. 31, the term of the circuit and district courts of Ohio, required to be holden on the first Monday of July, annually, at Columbus, shall be held at Cincinnati.March 4, 1820. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United Circuit court to be held at Columbus, the first Mondays of Sept, and Jan.
Causes, &c. to be continued over, &c. States of America, in Congress assembled,* That the circuit court in and for the district of Ohio, shall, from and after the passage of this act, be held at Columbus, in said district, on the first Mondays of September and January, [in] each and every year; and that all causes, actions, suits, process, pleadings, and other proceedings, of every description, that are, or shall be, existing or depending in the said circuit court, shall be continued over and returnable to the said circuit court, to be held at Columbus as aforesaid, and shall be proceeded with in due form of law.
Sec. 2. *And be it further enacted,* That the district court, in and District court to be held at Columbus, the second Mondays of Sept. and January. for the district of Ohio, shall, from and after the passage of this act, be held at Columbus, in said district, on the second Mondays of September and January, each and every year; and that all causes, actions, suits, process, pleadings, and other proceedings, of every description, that are or 545SIXTEENTH CONGRESS. Sess. I. Ch. 22. 1820. shall be, existing or depending in the said circuit court, shall be continued Causes to be continued over. over and returnable to the said circuit court, to be held at Columbus as aforesaid, and shall be proceeded with in due form of law.
