Chap. XCIII.— An Act to alter the times of the session of the circuit and district courts in the District of Columbia.May 11, 1820. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United Session of circuit court. States of America, in Congress assembled,* That from and after the first day of January next, instead of the times now provided by law, for the For Washington county, 1st Monday in Oct. and 2d Monday in April. For Alexandria, 1st Mondays in Nov. and May. session of the circuit court in the District of Columbia, the same shall be holden at the times and places following, that is to say:
At Washington, in and for the county of Washington, on the first Monday in October, and on the second Monday in April, in every year: And in Alexandria, in and for the county of Alexandria, on the first Mondays in November and May, in every year. Sec. 2. *And be it further enacted,* That from and after the first day District court to be held on the first Mondays of Dec. and June. of July next, instead of the times now provided by law for the session of the district court for the District of Columbia, the same shall be holden on the first Mondays in December and June in every year.
