Chap. LII.— An Act making an appropriation to defray the expenses of missions to the independent nations on the American continent. May 4, 1822. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America, in Congress assembled*, Appropriation for missions to such independent nations on the American continent as the President may deem proper. That, for such missions to the independent nations on the American continent, as the President of the United States may deem proper, there be, and hereby is, appropriated, a sum not exceeding one hundred thousand dollars; to be paid out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated. Approved, May 4, 1822.
