Chap. III.— An Act making a partial appropriation for the support of government for the year one thousand eight hundred and twenty-three. Jan. 14, 1823. [Obsolete.] *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America, in Congress assembled, * Appropriation for the compensation of the Senate and House of Representatives. That the sum of two hundred and sixty-five thousand one hundred and forty dollars be, and the same hereby is, appropriated, for the compensation granted by law to the Senate and House of Representatives: and that the same be paid out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated. Approved, January 14, 1823.
