Chap. CLXX.— An Act fixing the compensation of the chaplains of Congress.April 30, 1816. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the Salary of chaplains of Congress. United States of America, in Congress assembled,* That the chaplains of Congress shall be allowed and paid five hundred dollars per annum, each, as a compensation for their services, to commence with the present session of Congress, any law to the contrary notwithstanding. Approved, April 30, 1816.
