CHAP. 398.— An Act Authorizing the persons herein named to accept certain decorations and testimonials from the late Hawaiian Government. March 3, 1897. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, * Decorations, etc.Authority to accept Hawaiian, granted.George Brown. That Rear-Admiral George Brown, United States Navy, be, and he is hereby, authorized to accept a decoration of a Knight Grand Officer of the Royal Order of Kalakaua, conferred upon him by the King of the Hawaiian Islands on December fifth, eighteen hundred and ninety, in recognition of his services to the King upon the occasion of his visit to California;
George P. Blow.That Ensign George P. Blow, United States Navy, be, and he is hereby, authorized to accept a decoration of the Royal Order of Kalakaua, conferred upon him by the Queen of the Hawaiian Islands in recognition of his services to the late King; George S. Dyer.That Lieutenant George S. Dyer, United States Navy, be, and he is hereby, authorized to accept a decoration of a Knight Companion of the Royal Order of Kalakaua, conferred upon him by the King of the Hawaiian Islands on December fifth, eighteen hundred and ninety, in recognition of his services to the King upon the occasion of his visit to California;
Frank Laviere.That Frank Laviere, of the United States steamer Charleston, be, and he is hereby, authorized to accept a medal of honor conferred upon him by the Queen of the Hawaiian Islands in recognition of his services to the late King; George C. Remey.That Captain George C. Remey, United States Navy, be, and he is hereby, authorized to accept a decoration of a Knight Commander of the Royal Order of Kalakaua, conferred upon him by the King of the Hawaiian Islands on December fifth, eighteen hundred and ninety, in recognition of his services to the King upon the occasion of his visit to California;
George W. Woods.That Medical Inspector George W. Woods, United States Navy, be, and he is hereby, authorized to accept a decoration of the Royal Order of Kalakaua, conferred upon him by the Queen of the Hawaiian Islands in recognition of his services to the late King. Approved, March 3, 1897.
