CHAP. 390.— An Act To authorize the Supreme Court of the United States to issue writs of certiorari to the court of appeals of the District of Columbia in the same cases and manner that it may do in respect of the circuit court of appeals. March 3, 1897. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, District of Columbia.Supreme Court may issue certiorari to court of appeals.That in any case heretofore made final in the court of appeals of the District of Columbia it shall be competent for the Supreme Court to require, by certiorari or otherwise, any such case to be certified to the Supreme Court for its review and determination, with the same power and authority in the case as if it had been carried by appeal or writ of error to the Supreme Court.
