CHAP. 291.— An Act To amend the military record of Jolin S. Evans. May 30, 1896. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, John S. Evans.Granted honorable discharge.That the Secretary of War be, and is hereby, authorized and directed to restore to the muster rolls of Company E, Twenty-seventh Ohio Volunteer Infantry, the name of John S. Evans, and to grant him an *Proviso.*No pay, etc.honorable discharge from the service: *Provided,* That the passage of this Act shall not serve to entitle him to any pay, bounty, or allowances.
