CHAP. 280.— An Act Granting a pension to Mary Newman. May 30, 1896. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, Mary Newman.Pension.That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Mary Newman, blind and dependent daughter of Thomas G. Newman, now deceased, late of Company K, Ninth Regiment Missouri State Militia Cavalry, who was a pensioner under certificate numbered three hundred and twenty-eight thousand and three, and pay her a pension at the rate of twelve dollars per month during her life.
