CHAP. 262.— An Act Granting an increase of pension to Sophia D. Clendenin. May 28, 1896. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, Sophia D. Clendenin.Pension increased.That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the general pension laws, the name of Sophia D. Clendenin, widow of David R. Clendenin, late colonel of Second Cavalry, United States Army, and brevet brigadier-general, at the rate of fifty dollars a month, in lieu of the pension she is now receiving. Approved, May 28, 1896.
