CHAP. 236.— An Act To remove the charge of desertion from the military record of Michael McKenna. May 22, 1896. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, Michael McKenna, alias David Dunton.Granted honorable discharge.That the Secretary of War be, and is hereby, authorized and directed to remove the charge of desertion now standing upon the records of the War Department against the name of Michael McKenna, alias David Dunton, late of Company F, First United States Dragoons, and to grant him an honorable *Proviso.*No pay, etc.discharge, to date July thirty-first, eighteen hundred and forty-eight: *Provided,* That this shall not entitle such soldier to any pay or emoluments, except pension, which he would not otherwise be allowed.
