CHAP. 196.— An Act Granting a pension to John W. Pogue. February 8, 1897. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, * John W. Pogue.Pension. That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll the name of John W. Pogue, late a private in Company E, Tenth Regiment Illinois Volunteer Infantry, at the rate of twenty-four dollars per month. Received by the President, January 27, 1897. [Note by the Department of State.—The foregoing act having been presented to the President of the United States for his approval, FIFTY-FOURTH CONGRESS.
