CHAP. 191.— An Act Constituting Syracuse, New York, a port of delivery.May 18, 1896. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,* That Syracuse, in the State of Syracuse, N. Y. Made port of delivery and given immediate transportation privileges. Vol. 21, p. 174. New York, be, and is hereby, constituted a port of delivery, and that the privileges of immediate transportation of dutiable merchandise conferred by the seventh section of the Act of June tenth, eighteen hundred and eighty, entitled “An Act to amend the statutes in relation to immediate transportation of dutiable goods, and for other purposes,” be, and the same are hereby, extended to said port; and there shall be appointed a surveyor of customs to reside at said port, who shall receive Surveyor. a salary, to be determined by the Secretary of the Treasury, not exceeding one thousand dollars per annum.
