CHAP. 171.— An Act For the relief of James Duke. May 11, 1896. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*, James Duke.Granted honorable discharge.That the Secretary of the Navy be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to amend the naval record of James Duke, who enlisted in the United States Navy February twenty-first, eighteen hundred and sixty-two. and served as a first-class fireman on board the Baron de Kalb and Maria Denning up to July sixth, eighteen hundred and sixty-three, by removing the charge of desertion from the record and granting him an honorable discharge. Approved, May 11, 1896.
