CHAP. 154.— An Act Granting a pension to Anna M. Newton, widow of General John Newton. February 4, 1897. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, * Anna M. Newton.Pension. That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll the name of Anna M. Newton, widow of John Newton, late major-general of volunteers and brigadier-general of the United States Army, and pay her a pension at the rate of seventy-five dollars a month. Approved, February 4, 1897.
