CHAP. 141.— An Act Granting a pension to Emily Elliott. February 3, 1897. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, * That the Secretary of theEmily Elliott.Pension. Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Emily Elliott, the permanently helpless daughter of Joseph Elliott, late quarter gunner United States Navy in the Florida war, private Company E, First Regiment Voltiguers in the Mexican war, 786 and late private Company B, Second Regiment Maryland Volunteer Cavalry, in the war of the rebellion, and pay her a pension of twelve dollars per month.
