CHAP. 92.— An Act To amend and extend the provisions of an Act entitled “An Act to provide for the opening of certain abandoned military reservations, and for other purposes,” approved August twenty-third, eighteen hundred and ninety-four.February 15, 1895. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,Military reservations.Settlement of abandoned. That the provisions of the Act approved August twenty-third, eighteen hundred and ninety-four, FIFTY-THIRD CONGRESS.
Sess. III. Chs. 92, 94, 95. 1895.665 entitled “An Act to provide for the opening of certain abandoned military*Ante*, p.491. reservations, and for other purposes,” are hereby extended to allVol. 23, p. 103. abandoned military reservations which were placed under the control of the Secretary of the Interior under any law in force prior to the Act of July fifth, eighteen hundred and eighty-four. Sec. 2. That the preference right of entry given to actual settlers byPreferences to homestead settlers extended. the terms of the Act to which this is an amendment shall, so far as the lands to which the provisions, of said Act are extended, take effect and continue for six months from the date of this amendatory Act.
