CHAP. 31.— An Act To remove the charge of desertion from William H. H. Cook.January 17, 1895. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America, in Congress assembled*,William H. H. Cook.Charge of desertion removed. That the Secretary of War be, and is hereby, authorized and directed to remove the charge of desertion from William H. H. Cook, late a private in Company G, Fifth New York Duryea Zouaves, and to substitute in lieu thereof “absent without leave from August twenty-fifth, eighteen hundred and sixty-two, 1024FIFTY-THIRD CONGRESS.
Sess. III. Chs. 31, 32, 35. 1895. to May fourteenth, eighteen hundred and sixty-three, when his regiment was mustered out. He subsequently enlisted December twenty-fifth, eighteen hundred and sixty-three, in Company H, Fourth Iowa Cavalry, and was honorably mustered out August eighth, eighteen hundred and sixty-five, with his regiment.” Approved, January 17, 1895.
