CHAP. 276.— An Act For the relief of Walter S. McLeod.August 11, 1894. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,Walter S. McLeod.Credit in accounts. That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he hereby is, authorized and directed to adjust and audit the account of Walter S. McLeod, late farmer and special disbursing agent of the Medawakanton band of Sioux in Minnesota, and remove the suspensions in his account, by the Second Comptroller of the Treasury, on account of expenditures made by him, not to exceed the sum of one thousand five hundred and fifty-six dollars and sixty-six cents, disbursed subsequent to June thirtieth, eighteen hundred and eighty-seven, when the money appropriated by Act of Congress MayVol. 24, p. 39. fifteenth, eighteen hundred and eighty-six, was no longer legally disbursable: *Provided*, That it shall appear to the satisfaction of the*Proviso*.Purchases.
Secretary of the Treasury that the money was expended in purchasing goods for said Indians, and that they received the benefits thereof. Approved, August 11, 1894.
