CHAP. 239.— An Act Granting an honorable discharge to Cyrus Payne.August 8, 1894. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,Cyrus Payne.Honorable discharge granted to. That the President of the United States be, and is, authorized to cause to be revoked and set aside so much of “Special orders, numbered three hundred and ninety-eight, War Department, Adjutant-General’s Office, November fifteenth, eighteen hundred and sixty-four,” as confirms so much of “Special orders, numbered two hundred and ninety-six, Headquarters Department of the Gulf, New Orleans, November first, eighteen hundred and sixty-four,” as dismissed Lieutenant Cyrus Payne, Eighteenth Regiment New York Cavalry, for perpetrating frauds upon the Government, and then to cause to be revoked and set aside so much of “Special orders, numbered two hundred and ninety-six, Headquarters Department of the Gulf, New Orleans, November first, eighteen hundred and sixty-four,” as dismissed said First Lieutenant Payne, Eighteenth New York Cavalry, and to cause to be issued to said Lieutenant Payne a certificate of honorable muster out of the service as of the date of the twenty-seventh day of May, eighteen hundred and sixty-five.
And said CyrusNo pay, etc. Payne shall not, by reason of this Act, be entitled to any payor allowance subsequent to said last-named date. Approved, August 8, 1894.
