CHAP. 184.— An Act To grant a township of land to the State of Mississippi for the use-of the Institute and College for Girls.March 2, 1895. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,Public lands.Grant to Mississippi for Industrial Institute and College for Girls. That the Governor of the State of Mississippi be, and lie is hereby, authorized to select out of the unoccupied and uninhabited lands of the United States, within the said State, twenty-three thousand and forty acres of land, in legal subdivisions, being a total equivalent to one township, and shall certify the same to the Secretary of the Interior, who shall forthwith, upon receipt of said certificate, issue to the State of Mississippi patents for said lands: *Provided*, That the proceeds of said lands, when sold or leased, shall forever remain a fund for the use of the Industrial Institute and College for Girls.
