CHAP. 152.— An Act For the relief of Captain Ceran Saint Vrain’s Company of New Mexico Mounted Volunteers.March 1, 1895. *Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled*,New Mexico Mounted Volunteers.Captain Ceran Saint Vrain’s company to receive pay, etc. That the officers and enlisted men of the company of New Mexico Mounted Volunteers which served under Captain Ceran Saint Vrain, and was present at the battles of La Canada, January twenty-fourth, eighteen hundred and forty-seven, El Embudo, January twenty-ninth, eighteen hundred and forty-seven, and Taos, February fourth, eighteen hundred and forty-seven, in the Territory of New Mexico, shall be placed on the same tooting in regard to pay and allowances, as volunteers regularly mustered into the United States service.
Sec. 2. That in auditing and paying the foregoing accounts, the copyMuster roll. of muster roll of said company now on tile in the War Department, dated Santa Fe, New Mexico, February twentieth, eighteen hundred and forty-seven, which shows the company organized at Santa Fe, New Mexico, January twenty-third, eighteen hundred and forty-seven, and discharged at that place February twentieth, eighteen hundred and forty-seven, and which bears the indorsement of the secretary of the Territory of New Mexico, dated October tenth, eighteen hundred and fifty-seven, certifying that it is a true copy of the original roll of said company, shall be the data to guide the accounting officers.
